Position Title: Project Engineer: Civil, Ocean or Mechanical

An immediate opening is available at PCCI Inc. for a project engineer in civil, ocean or mechanical engineering of ocean/waterfront facilities. PCCI’s engineering group supports the US Navy in waterfront and open ocean construction, marine equipment design, pollution control, ship salvage, diving, and underwater ship repair. We also provide renewable energy engineering services to the US Department of Energy and commercial customers.
Requirements: 5+ years of experience with marine projects and systems. Ability to travel internationally and work with subcontractor teams for periods from one week up to a month, one or two times a year, is required.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
The following are desired capabilities for applicants:
  • Mooring and underwater cable installation engineering field experience
  • Army Corps of Engineers / Naval Facilities Construction Quality Certification
  • Professional registration in a Civil/Marine/Mechanical/Ocean/Naval Architect discipline. 
  • Experience w/ SolidEdge, Solidworks, AutoCAD; Rhino, MathCad, Matlab, Orcaflex
  • Familiarity with offshore lift rigging and structural design methods of ABS, AISC, DNV and Navy.
  • Familiarity with civil engineering, excavation, pipelines, pump selection, process systems, directional drilling
  • Familiarity with renewable energy systems or energy storage systems or offshore industry or wind power generation
  • Recreational or commercial diver or boat operator. Merchant Marine, Navy or Coast Guard member
  • Location near Washington DC, Yorktown VA or Port Hueneme CA preferred.
